Meet the Lady

Old soul.
Fresh point of view.

The Emerald Lady pairs the gracious proportions and original character of an early-1900s Victorian with the playful details of a memorable Toledo stay. Gather in the bright emerald kitchen, settle into the wood-trimmed living rooms, spin a record downstairs or take your coffee to the porch swing.

Four bedrooms make room for up to seven guests. A private backyard, driveway and carport keep the practical side easy; downtown Toledo, the Maumee River and Vistula's new local businesses are all close at hand.

Explore Toledo's riverfront
at The Ribbon.

At Glass City Metropark, The Ribbon traces a 1,000-foot loop with rolling curves and connects to a 5,000-square-foot skating pond. Bring skates, blades or a scooter in warm weather; the trail becomes ice in winter.

The surrounding park layers in river views, play areas, trails, public art and the downtown skyline—an easy family outing or golden-hour stop.

Summer brings roller skates, blades and scooters to The Ribbon; winter turns the loop into ice. Around it, Glass City Metropark adds public art, gardens, play spaces, climbing, water features and broad views across the Maumee.

A corner of Toledo history

Before Toledo,
there was Vistula.

The Emerald Lady stands in the Vistula Historic District, along streets that trace Toledo's earliest growth beside the Maumee River. Public property data and the home's own listing differ by a year on the exact build date, so we describe the house accurately as an early-1900s Victorian rather than inventing a more precise origin story.

1833

Vistula is established

The neighborhood predates Toledo and grew as a river-connected home for merchants, tradespeople and industry.

The Weber years on Superior

A home connected
to Toledo golf history.

A 1910 Toledo social directory places Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Weber at 1115 Superior.

A 1913 city directory lists Frank E. Weber of Alex Weber's Sons at this address—and lists Harold Weber, also associated with the family firm, boarding at 1115 Superior. That gives the house a documented connection to two brothers who helped shape the early Inverness Club.

A Toledo Library record for a 1992 photograph classifies the home as a two-and-a-half-story brick dwelling in the Stick style.

Frank found the siteInverness Club's official anniversary history says founding members Frank Weber and J.H. Bellows investigated the 80-acre site selected in 1903.
Harold made golf historyA 2021 Toledo Blade history names Harold as a founding member, 1904 Olympic team bronze medalist, four-time Ohio Amateur champion and 14-time Inverness club champion.

Harold also helped with Inverness's early course layouts. The Blade account identifies Frank as Harold's brother, while the city directory ties both men to the same family business and, in 1913, to this house.

A 1999 Toledo Blade retrospective reproduces a 1928 photograph whose caption identifies S. P. Jermain and Frank Weber beside Jermain's monument at Ottawa Park Golf Course. The archival caption resolves a commonly confused detail: the second man is Frank, not Harold.

Historical precision: the directories independently prove residence at 1115 Superior, but Frank Weber's title link remains unresolved. The website therefore describes a documented connection rather than claiming verified ownership.
